Moon Valley High School, a public high school in Phoenix, Arizona, has been serving students since its establishment in 1965. It is one of the educational institutions under the Glendale Union High School District. During the renovation of the school's existing facility, it was determined that a brand update should be undertaken prior to the installation of experiential graphics in the spaces. Designers from the XGD Studio at DLR Group collaborated with school leaders to create a brand that pays tribute to the school's history, including its esteemed alumni, while also positioning it as an educational leader in Arizona for years to come. With a motto of "Rockets blast off!", Moon Valley High School embraces a spirit of ambition and achievement.
Scope Summary
DLR Group was tasked with delivering a comprehensive set of materials as part of their effort, including a brand guide and an experiential graphics package for high-traffic areas within the facility. The brand guide serves as a reference for the school, providing clear direction on typography, color schemes, and proper usage of the identity mark. In addition, the guide features a collection of badges that can be optionally implemented, showcasing the versatility of the brand. It also illustrates how business materials, uniforms, and merchandise can be designed to align with the newly developed Moon Valley Rockets brand. DLR Group took charge of brand development and experiential graphic design services, ensuring a cohesive and impactful implementation.
