This project, by far is one of the most challenging and exciting project that I worked during my six years with Puma.
To not only capture the aesthetics from our previous Cell franchise but also focused to improve the comfort of the 20 year old Cell cushion within the 18 month time frame. Looking for different ways to produce it, different techniques, different materials, different process, it's been a journey.
I may say this is an innovation project for us, coming from Sportstyle BU, and we're proud to say that we manage to achieve that with the support from the Development team.
I would like to thank the development and tooling team, because we manage to improve the quality of a 20 year old technology and made it work also manage to get a patent for this.
I also included some of the collaboration project (Rhude, Billy Walsh and Kidsuper) that also used the cell dome tooling done by my colleagues in the SELECT team.

Designed with roots in a 90’s aesthetic and a vision of a more extraordinary era, the CELL Dome Galaxy integrates the CELL Technology cushioning into its heel in a new, domeshaped form to make it more visible from distance. The shiny CELL sits asymmetrically on the heel giving it a futurist look, while the upper shows off original eyelets with premium, clean overlays and a visible Formstrip. The CELL Dome Galaxy is beyond enhanced, beyond now, and ready for a new decade
