The ‘365 Days of Practicing’ project or #WholeYearPracticing on Instagram
Jackson Alves (@letterJack) is a calligraphy/lettering artist and educator from Brazil. Graphic designer since 2000, Jack has been working as a letterform expert for the last 12 years and started teaching his technique in 2013.
Nowadays, Alves has more than 20,000 students worldwide with his online calligraphy classes and over 200k followers on his social networks (adding Instagram, FaceBook, YouTube, and Behance). The artist always talks about the importance of practicing to improve skills and sharing the process to create new connections.
Following these ideas, LetterJack started a project in January 2021 called ‘365 Days Practicing', a challenge released on his Instagram to encourage his students and followers to practice (and share) every day. So he spent the whole year of 2021 producing one piece a day. Some days were only warming up calligraphy exercises, other days a masterpiece, but he created something every single day. The ‘365 Days Practicing’ NFT Collection
Still in 2021 Jack discovered the incredible universe of NFTs and decided that some pieces of the project should be immortalized on the blockchain. Than, in 2022 the ‘365 Days Practicing’ collection was borned.
This collection are 152 selected pieces from the #wholeyearpracticing project divided into three blockchains:
- 134 pieces on Ethereum
- 9 pieces on Tezos
- 9 pieces on Solana
Collecting these pieces means not only collecting a piece of art, but also get some extra utilities* for some pieces and, more important, it means supporting the work of a calligraphy/lettering artist by acquiring an NFT and symbolically a day in the artist's life in 2021.

Utilities and gifts
There are small collections inside the ‘365 days practicing' project and each piece can offer different utilities or gifts, check out their description for more details. Inside the collection, there are 125 pieces at 0.1eth (this color on the picture above) and 8 pieces at 88tez (this color on the picture) that includes a font file with commercial use rights (based on CC-BY license).
These pieces are individual letters from 4 alphabet's styles and other pieces that show a specific calligraphy style. The font included in the piece is created in the same letter style as the image, read the description of the piece to check out the details.
Exclusive Gifts
Anyone who collects at least 4 pieces of 0.1eth will get a custom handmade calligraphy monogram like these two examples below I created for Amber Vittoria and Ash Bush.
There are 10 abstract pieces at 0.07eth. These pieces are not like my ‘Days of Abstraction’ collection, but they use letters on some way to create visually interesting pieces.

What comes next
My NFTs are 1/1 pieces, I mean, we're not talking huge 10k PFP projects with 10.000 pieces. While I may or may not add some new utility to these pieces in the future, the important thing to understand is that: I as an artist will continue to create new pieces for a lifetime, so if you collect any of my pieces you are investing not only in a digital asset, but also in my career and journey as an artist.
