This was the final project from the P&PI course, which asked students to take one project from the course and give it another week of development. I chose the bullet hell game I made for the projectile theme. The game consists of a multi-phase boss fight with each phase having completely different attack patterns that the player must avoid, while still firing at the boss. I decided to make the player’s hitbox the tiny red dot in the center of the model rather than the entire thing, which allowed me to create more intense bullet patterns for the boss. A limited supply of bombs that both deal damage and destroy enemy bullets also helps to even the playing field.
