Welcome to my Portfolio
The logo I designed for my friend's floral business. She wanted a simple line design, so I looked at the flowers she used in some of her arrangements on her Instagram for inspiration.
To be able to effectively communicate my message about pollution, the attention to detail in the diorama for the art doll was crucial. I originally planned to make small pieces of rubbish that were to the doll's scale, but ultimately I decided to use actual recycled materials to be more sustainable and make my message more direct. At first, the wave of rubbish looked too stiff, so I added more layers of rubbish bags and stretched out the pieces to create movement. These adjustments paired with stronger lighting in the final photoshoot brought the wave to life, it became a sort of creature about to engulf the doll.
This project involved a variety of effects including a lens flare, liquify, and burn tool. I also added a grass texture to the background.
Using Adobe Photoshop, I created my own text paintbrushes with words that related to my friend and I. In order to build up the image, the words were stamped in layers of midtones, shadows and highlights.
This piece received an Honourable Mention in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. After a photoshoot, I combined my chosen reference image with another picture I took for the background. Once I completed a detailed value sketch, adding white gouache for highlights, I painted with watercolour for the final piece.
This work was created in Photopea, and is a compilation of photos to create a self portrait to reflect who I am. I cut out an image of myself to create a silhouette to fill with the blended images, and I blended two images for the background as well. To improve this project, I would remove the image of Hogwarts and put the lyrics in the background instead so there would be more of a focus on the images in the silhouette.
This portrait was completed from direct observation in one day, and then used to create a project. I researched several artists to inspire my ideas. When I finished the piece on the left, I thought the vibrancy of the magazine clippings did not compliment the expression of the woman, so I redid the piece with a more sombre colour palette.
I took this picture in Naples, Florida. In Adobe Photoshop, I made a new layer with a grid, then used the magic wand to select and edit each square. I altered the image by adjusting the saturation, hue, noise, exposure, pixilation and more. I also experimented with colour overlays and inverting the colours, as well as using tools to add texture.
