     Here are the ads I did for the final competition of my Milwaukee Portfolio School class. Here our client was Outpost and we had to get the audience to think globally by acting locally. I realized in my research that Outpost thought globally by thinking locally and that it was far easier to get the audience to realize that Outpost does that for them. So I stressed on the local and fresh food that Outpost does get from farmers and local vendors. I took the photographs in the smaller Outpost in Wauwatosa, WI and added in the subtle images in Photoshop. My copy in the ads was simple and to the point and I incorporated the brown bag background since Outpost used brown bags in their websites and they also stress using a brown bag in the store. I thought this went well with their branding. This ad campaign won best in show by the judges.

Outpost would have people dressed up as farmers handing out apples at key locations throughout the city of Milwaukee during the lunch period of 11:00 AM-2:00 PM. They would be near locations such as parks, outside malls, public market, and on busy walking streets. They would have a sign that says, “Outpost Natural Foods, Try our apples from local farmers for free!” The “Farmers” would hand out an apple per person and the apple would have a sticker with Outpost’s logo, where the apple is from, and a QR code leading the person to the Outpost website. This would happen each day for a week.
