Teen Wolf season 3 Meme Promotional Facebook Viral Campaign

On Facebook off of the Teen Wolf Facebook page that the show Teen Wolf uses there would be a contest in the month of May, which is the month before Teen Wolf season 3 airs. Leading up to the announcement of the Facebook Meme competition there would be Postings of a Meme every Monday night starting the first week of April leading up to May’s announcement. The time posting of each Meme for the four weeks would coincide with the time the show would air in June. Each meme would then be most likely shared based on the humor and fan base on their walls, creating hype and attention to Teen Wolf. Then on the first week of May when a Meme would normally be posted the competition would be announced.
The competition would involve fans creating their own memes from pictures they find of the show and cast members. They would then tag and submit their photo memes into the Teen Wolf Facebook. Their goal with the memes would be getting the most shares and likes. The competition would end at the end of the month and the winners would be announced an hour before the Teen Wolf season 3 premiere. There would be three top prizes first, second, and third place. First place would receive Teen Wolf season 1 and 2 DVDs and a Signed Poster from all the cast members, 2nd and 3rd place would receive a signed photo from their favorite cast member currently on Teen Wolf. This would create incentive. The idea behind posting the four Memes first would create buzz as well as good examples of what Teen Wolf is looking for in the competition.
Memes are chosen to be the completion because the target audience from 16-23 who watch the show use pictures that are called “Memes” to share with friends either sharing something humorous, strange, or something they like. There is a strong base of people that use Memes from ages 16-30. The hope behind this viral campaign/competition is to promote Teen Wolf by having fans share material they like about the show while having fun with it. The more a Meme is out there for people to look at they will want to see where the joke or story originates from and will check out Teen Wolf season 3, since buzz on the new season would be updated regularly on the Facebook page as this competition is going on.
This Meme would be the first published in the meme Campaign. It plays on the fact that Teen Wolf airs on Monday nights and that a lot of bad stuff often happens every other episode on the show. Also, it plays on the trope that everyone hates Mondays.

Second Meme to appear in the campagin. This plays on the Better love story than Twilight memes and that the fans have a romance/bro-mance going on between the characters Stiles and Derek.

Third meme for the promotion. Play on words for puberty.

Last meme to appear for the promotion before the contest starts. This meme goes with the Hipster Memes out there and plays on the fact that Allison was shooting arrows before the Hunger Games movie and other Arrow shooting games and movies came out within the last year.
Promotion's meme's could also be used as a gif and made into a clickable ad within the meme and cheezeburger website that often drives and popularizes meme's. This would directly target the auidence that Teen Wolf is looking to get for their show.
