Cartoon Network Ident

[SCHOOL ASSIGNMENT with Joon Van Thuyne]

We had to create a TV ident for a channel of choice. We choose Cartoon Network and gave it a 3 dimensional look. We had to use Cinema 4D for the 3D-modeling and animations, Adobe After Effect for color correction, stabilization, etc. and we used Adobe Audition to edit the sounds.

Music used in this video:
Black & Bleu - Let's be friends
Flying Lotus - About that time
Flying Lotus - Colemans groove ft. Andreya Triana and Niki Randa

This assignment was made for Devine.

This is the animation for the channel logo, we we're inspired by pixel-art for this assignment so we wanted to make the C and N look that way. This animation gives a little spacey look and with the sound effects it looks like the CN logo is a spacecraft.
OVERLAY PARTIAL BUMPER
This is the overlay bumper, to show which cartoons will follow next. The cubes are glitching out of the screen and the text changes in a glitchy way. We used a pixelated font which is also used in the fabulous pixelart game Minecraft.
EVENING OVERVIEW
In this part we we're inspired by the Indie game FEZ. We made the first frames look 2D and suddenly it glitches and the viewer can see it is actually a 3D space where the evening overview is showen in the Channel logo.
NEW SEASON MONTAGE
On this overview we made a 3D pixelated wave to switch between 2 new cartoons.
SECRET TEAM FEATURE
In this assignment we also had to make a secret feature for the channel, we'd chose to make 3D tracking on some footage of a dinnertable. This feature could be used to say some morning greetings to the viewers.
