I made this illustration recently to accompany a text I made in high school for English class. It depicts AI and the demise of its creator, a modern day Frankenstein.

Story 1: When I researched visualisations of AI, I noticed how neural networks look like spiderwebs, and as Victor built the AI and spiders build spiderwebs, a spider is depicted being impaired by its own creation.

Story 2: The nature of neural networks is that you can only see what comes in and out. In between is a black box. That is depicted by the middle part of the “neural network” constellation symbolism being obscured, the final layer of nodes being a corrupted, threatening result.

The web also goes beyond its intended use(the box) -- untethered.
