Design Achievement
In 2020, the City of Gretna made a significant move by approving a bond issue that allocated $139.5 million for the construction of a second high school in the community. Initially designed to accommodate 1,000 students, the school possesses a maximum capacity surpassing 1,600 individuals. After careful consideration, the school board opted to adopt the Griffin as the mascot for the new high school, distinguishing it from the existing high school's Dragons. Collaborating with the school board and other administrators, the XGD Studio at DLR Group undertook the task of designing a fresh brand that would shape the identity of the upcoming generation of students in Gretna.

Scope Summary
As part of the endeavor, the team has produced a comprehensive brand guide to serve as a reference for the school in implementing the newly established brand. This guide encompasses crucial aspects such as typography, color, and the proper utilization of the identity mark. Additionally, it includes a collection of badges that can be incorporated if desired, offering a diverse range of options. Moreover, the guide showcases how various elements such as business materials, uniforms, and merchandise can be designed in alignment with the distinctive Griffin brand. Brand development and experiential graphic design services were expertly provided by DLR Group, ensuring a cohesive and visually impactful implementation.
