This project is a love letter to letterpress, and is comprised entirely of equipment from my letterpress studio. I’ve always liked rustic industrial photography and I love to see rustic textures in my typography. What cemented my confidence in this project was seeing that the profiles of my metallic typesetting furniture happened to look like a perfect capital H or an I with slab serifs. From there I saw that my magnifying glass folded into an A, my wedges combined to make an M, my mallet from the top looked like a Q and so on. 

I thought that it was interesting that the tools used here have a purpose - they revolve around the reproduction of typographic work, but they are the parts of the process that are normally hidden from the finished product.
