Drawing Action Poses
For this task we were given a pose sheet to use as a reference image and tasked with drawing different action poses on a character. The purpose of this task was to help us understand the importance of following key lines, line of action - C curve, S curve.
Reference Sheet :
Sketching the character : For the character I decided to go with a medieval style, one with a sword in hand.
Drawing the action poses: Since I have completed the character I chose a few action poses that I was gonna be comfortable with drawing and started applying C curve lines of action on my character. I was pretty satisfied with the end result.
COMPLEXITIES: Adding too many details on character makes it harder to draw action poses as we have to maintain consistency throughout the poses.
LEARNING OUTCOME: While doing this task I was able to learn how the line of action makes our character poses more dynamic and easier to read.
