“Editing the photo was done using Adobe Photoshop, the first thing I did was to create 3 layers and labelled them as Original Photo, Apply Image, and Dust & Scratches. After adding and renaming the layers, I hid the 2 other layers and edited first the Dust & Scratches layer on filter menu bar, selected noise and then dust & scratches, changing the radius and threshold to a specific number/option which the image will get blur but not entirely where the detail of the eye and eyebrows are in good visibility. Then I unhid the Apply Image layer, selected the image in the menu bar and chose apply image, changed the blend mode to subtract, opacity to 100%, scale to 2, and lastly the offset to 128 where the image will become greyish and color, after that I changed the blending mode to linear light even though it made it look like to the original photo but it is ready for the next step which is leveling the skin tone, removing the dark spots and unwanted portion of the photo. The next step is using the healing brush tool and brush tool to remove the uneven skin tone and dark portions of the image and next is I combine all the layers created. Lastly, I made final touches by adding curves with input in 195 and output in 200 to enhance the level of the image a bit lighter, adding vibrance and change the vibrance to -11 and saturation to -5 to make the color a bit pale and then add exposure and change the exposure to +0.44 and gamma correction to 1.04 to brighten the image”
