Opportunity
An opportunity was presented to design a passion project. A long awaited project of mine was developing an app for those who enjoy weightlifting, but choose to use personalized programs rather than pre-made guides.
Solution
To begin this process, I researched competing apps that function similarly to what I wanted to develop. The name KOR W8 developed out of a play on words of “core” and “weight.” I began with wireframes to determine which pages were needed and devised a general layout. After this, I added in brand typefaces and colors to construct hierarchy. KOR W8 gives the user the ability to add and/or edit personal workout programs, track previous and current improvements in their lifting routines, as well as personal weight, measurements, and photo progress. Additionally, users can pull from an exercise library or add their own while also being able to join a community through the app.
