Shredded & The Muted !d...!
The unspeakable pain I felt for children, women, and men being brutally raped, mutilated, ripped apart, and murdered in the name of honor killing, blasphemy, hatred, jealousy, and for the pleasure of violence. Mostly murderers appeared to be a person in the neighborhood, a family friend, or someone so obviously busy targeting the victims but ignored by everyone around considering minding their own business!
A regretful shock will be received by those who took alarming signs easily and now looking for excuses by victim shaming - How unfortunate and low-level self-sobbing behavior is this…! - The more I think about it - the more I see how unstable and hypocritical we are. Dealing with the shredded trust in people around us I believe everyone who is still alive senses the kind of mute I am talking about!
Noor Mukadam was a Pakistani victim of murder. She was killed and then beheaded by a family friend.
Zaineb Amin Ansari was a Pakistani victim of rape and murder - a seven-year-old girl!!! - And there is a long list - I have been searching, reading about all sorts of incidents solved and unsolved. With that scattered mind, I started working on this image.
The dead body is covered with shredded fabric is to reflect shredded trust The void on the left side is mute - the crystal balls represent highly decorated controlled movements in media and trends.
The red petals are love and care shown by people around the victims and yet the red hand of the murderer is also the one loving caring people around the victim.
The head is shown in the crystal ball in another, but the bigger crystal ball is a way to show how dramatically people and news highlight the incident and reflect the incident in many ways.
One side of news and people rose to demand justice and the other stands to blame everything else and soon it becomes a confusing matter and with the passage of time… Solved or not solved...!
But everyone forgets the one most important thing left outside the trending news globe - that one red petal. Which never became the trend or rating news or a serious unavoidable highlight!
We need to become a change instead of demanding the change and for that, we are not ready because we have more excuses to not becoming a change than to commit a murder - and grieving is a lot easier right!
So the last petal is a taunt...!
