Design Achievement 
The creative team at DLR Group undertook the development of a new boutique hotel brand within an existing building located in Boston's downtown district. Being one of the oldest municipalities in the United States, founded in 1630, Boston boasts a rich history intertwined with iconic sayings, imagery, and quotes that define this urban center. The team's objective was to create a unified concept for the hotel that immerses guests in an authentic "Boston" experience. Leveraging the city's extensive historical references, the designers incorporated meaningful elements into the design process, resulting in a modern aesthetic infused with local significance. The final solution successfully merges contemporary design with a genuine connection to the surrounding area. 

Scope Summary 
As part of the hotel's revitalization, the new brand will be prominently displayed through various channels. Guests will encounter discreet signage on the building's exterior, reminiscent of Boston's local speakeasy culture. Throughout their stay at Chickadee, visitors will encounter brand elements on coffee cups, baggage claim tickets, door hangers, matchbooks, and throw pillows. To commemorate their visit, guests will have the opportunity to purchase branded merchandise such as shirts, tote bags, hats, postcards, coffee mugs, magnets, and patches, providing an additional revenue stream for the hotel. DLR Group played a key role in brand development for this project.
