In April of 2020, I began the 100 days project on instagram. Each day, I used a photograph I made and transformed it into a watercolor. These images have a range of focus. Two famous landmarks in Cincinnati—Union Terminal and Music Hall, some of its unique peoples, the leavings of gentrification, and some wider landscape views of both the basin and the river.

The corner of 13th & Walnut in Cincinnati is one that has changed pretty dramatically even since I've been here in 2013. This image seemed to grasp both the present moment of the intersection, but also seemed to convey both a reverence for history and an optimism for the future.
