Non-profit Project: Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County by Calico Star Studio
For this assignment, I teamed up with a group of three other designers to choose a non-profit organization to design a hypothetical ad campaign for use in the local community. We chose Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County, an organization which helps families in need with the construction, renovation, and maintenance of housing. Each team member chose a branch of the organization to advertise, so I chose the ReStore: where donations of furniture, building materials, and other home goods are accepted and resold to the local community at a discount.
We selected our methods of advertising by researching our target market and utilizing our personal design strengths. I chose a bus shelter ad, Facebook ad, and promotional bookmarks to be distributed at local libraries - featuring custom illustrations. We utilized Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County's brand colors, fonts, and overall aesthetics in all of our designs.
