ARCHITECTURE
It is a house for a family of four members.The priority and preference are the abundance of sunlight, green and breeze; so a small garden is created in the heart of the land. It becomes the base point to install the other parts of the house.The rooms are createdfor the need of the family and the specificrequest of eachperson. Thus, noroom looks like another.
The kitchen and dining area, adjoining to and expandable into the garden, is the first area one reaches when entering the house. Thus, it also serves as a living room.
The parents' bedroom on the ground floor is not very large. Yet, it is surrounded by the central garden, the side path and the small garden at the back. This green space becomes part of the room and makes it look larger.
The first floor includes a working space for the parents, a music room and a small living room. These spaces are arranged alternately, sometimesmixed into each other. The ceiling is not too high so that the bookshelves around the room can be conveniently reached. All together create a cozy space, showing clearly the owners’ life.
The two daughters’ bedrooms on the second floor both have large openings overlooking to the garden. The first bedroom is arranged with several reading and working areas according to the owner’s preference. The second bedroom is created with a mezzanine to meet the demand of a separated working space from the sleeping area. This also makes the room, which has a large back westward wall, cooler.
The green space is spread from the ground floor to the top floor with some small terraces. The rooms are connected to each other by the small garden and the airy space in the center. It is always easy to see the color of the trees, the skies and the life outside from any corner of the house.
