HAART Kenya hosted a 10 year event that opened on Thursday 25th November at the Austrian Embassy. Honoured to have been given the opportunity to create work that will have an impact.

My mood-board
My process from start to finish
Inspired by the goal of rehabilitation and reintegration of victims, I chose to create a piece that features my protagonist being engulfed and nourished by different plants and flowers. The plants are a metaphorical healing agent bringing her back to health and the protective halo is breaking the chains of slavery and bondage. Rehabilitation is a difficult and sometimes long process but with this piece, I hope to create a light at the end of the tunnel, an encouraging vision of what the outcome can be, a therapeutic healing and restoration of that which was once wounded.
