When you think of Tokyo at night a blast of colorful light and vibrant chaos comes to mind - but what if you strip the night of all its colours? A dazzling pattern of shapes, geometries and contrast remains.
I shot this during a trip to Tokyo in 2019 with a Leica Q2 and I wish I had an M10 monochrome with me. While I love the often tasteful design & color compositions and the bright, vibrant atmosphere it was fun to explore Tokyo in a monochromatic look.
It might also be that I've just been inspired by Bruce Gilden's Tokyo series and Ralph Gibson being accepted into the Leica Hall of Fame in 2021.
