Cookery Recipe App (CooK) was a part of a case study for a smart cooking project. The main goal was to design many feasible concepts through user research and insight. In the end, a CooK App was created with voiced supported features, arguably designed with considering users’ needs and want.. The design of the app consists of digestible cooking instruction, adding to favourites, Planning to cook, and shopping for ingredients. Recipes are divided into groups and sections such as Breakfast, lunch and dinner to make searching easier. The recipes can also be selected through voice by saying their tag numbers.

personas were concerned about food waste and to make their job easier, a Serving portion per person is used to make the measurement of ingredients easier.

Timing in cooking which is a critical part was another concern of our personas. To address that, an automatic timer alarm is designed to inform people to check on their food when it is required.

These two design elements allow users to save their favourite recipe for later reference or decide on a date to cook their saved recipes.

CALANDER

An Event Calendar is used to allow users to save a specific recipe or recipes for a particular day. People can save several recipes for the same day on their planner page. The planner page is the landing page when people access the app.

A list of shopping is automatically created once a recipe is saved in planner to help people remember what ingredients are needed when shopping.
