PERIPHERY – ZINE

I was diagnosed with strabismus (which is a disease in the eyes that causes misalignment) and have had many corrective surgeries to fix the eye muscle alignment. This causes my brain to “focus” through one eye at a time – ignoring all information the other eye sees, thus not being able to successfully use the classic blue-red 3D glasses. This zine is based around the word “periphery” as it relates to vision and how people perceive the world, forcing the viewer to use these glasses in an unconventional way: they must ignore the view through one color lens to experience the opposite color.
THANK YOU!
