Details | Located close to Monaghan, in Northern Ireland, the project consists of an extension for an existing house to open its rear facade to the poetic landscape of the green hills of the county. Built with a thin steel structure, the volume is fully glazed and with a thick wooden ceiling to accentuate the horizon line and immerse the user in the house's surroundings. The space serves as a winter garden, a covered outdoor-like dining room, a terrace overlooking the garden slope, with just a few wooden steps leading to it.
