2020 Streamliner House Commission - Version 2

STREAMLINER HOUSE concept 2021
The second and more elaborate version of the Streamliner House, perched on hill in northern Czechia:
Various edits have been made to the interior space - a sunken conversation pit was added along with an L-shaped sofa. A short, yet spacious area formed at the front of the living space, creating an ideal spot for lounging and enjoying the view:
Inspiration for the interior was a moodboard mash-up of Thomas Kundig's interiors, modern nordic designs and numerous hip, minimal coffee places, including my favourite Boston Tea Party.
The rear end of the house has changed its shape also, providing for an extra small opening door at the very end, functioning as a window, bringing in more much need light into the otherwise dark entry room:
In this version, the construction was explored much more deeply;
Overall, it consists of a welded steel-frame, from which the porch beams outstretch. The roof is framed much like the hull of a steel-frame boat turned upside down, bolted onto the main frame of the house:
*note: the base of the structure (below the living room area) and the roof construction are some of the least finished parts of the visualisation. With the base I wasn't too sure myself and as for the roof I run ouf of time and patience for the details.

The structural design of this hause very much resembles the one of a houseboat where the main goals are to keep the overall weight low, down to the ground and along the center line. Plumbing in this case is dispensed into tanks or sewage lines located in the bunker structure below the house.
Below is a look at the support holding up the front section of the house. The house frame itself is ballanced on the edge of the bunker tower.
