Redesign of the coat of arms and flag of Veliko Tarnovo
The shield is heater-shaped with a single purple field, containing three golden lions passant guardant, armed with silver claws.
The arms are crowned with the historic crown of the Bulgarian Tsars of the Second Bulgarian Empire and decorated with two laurel branches fruited.
The flag is a purple field with three golden stripes, 1/3 of the flag's wide, forming a square, centred at the 1/3 of the hoist side and the horizontal centre.
