Design For Motion PSA

This project is a fun, playful jab at one of the classes taught at SCAD called "Design For Motion". This class teaches the fundamentals of making incredible previsualization styleframes and storyboards at industry level standards. The class has a bit of a reputation for being a "hard class", but everyone takes it because we know that it will make us better designers. The following boards represent a fictitious PSA that would educate students on the class.

The Design for Motion PSA will begin in a 1940’s style “We interrupt this program to bring you a special announcement”. The PSA will then begin to explain to the viewer about the MOME 220 class: Design for Motion, explaining the skills needed as well as materials and other information. The second part of the PSA will tell the viewer how the class works, and relate the format of the class to the ritual offerings of Mayan Gods. The PSA will conclude with a resolution telling the viewer that although the class is tough, it is completely worth it and makes them into a great designer.

The art direction for this project was based around the Naive design aesthetic, and the theme of the concept was to be based on Supplication. The red-headed character with the crazy laugh is our ruthless professor, Austin Shaw.
