Diary Buddy

Diary Buddy is an online repository of Diary events, giving a personalied touch to the experience of Diary Keeping. The appication was developed for the windows market in 2013.

A lot of emphasis was given to simplify the UI and make the User experience a memorable one. Several iterations for the UI were tried and tested among stakeholders.
The home page brings you the most recent diary entries, along with an option of adding a new diary entry, right at the top, to reduce the screen navigation of the user.
A search and settings option was also given right on the home screen.

A lot of thought was given on the text editor of the application. It is divided into 3 seperate divisions. The top right division contains thumbnails of media items in the diary entry.
The user can drag the thumbnail from the left division to the larger right division, for a better view of the media item, without having to click on it.
The media item can also be dragged in the text editor, where the text auto- aligns with the text.

All diary entries can be sorted by date, mood and location, depending on the user preference.

The diary entries can be searched, according to the date.

An additional feature of doodle support was also provided, to make diary writing a fun experience. Doodling can also be done on images. The application automatically saves the images, without the need to click on save option.

The application was a collaborative effort of a team of 6 students of IIT Roorkee.
