UI/UX Project : Retrace

Problem Statement
The world is going hybrid (mixing remote and office) faster than expected. Companies are using spreadsheets to see who’s at the offices and who’s not. People want to see each other, but they never know when and where to meet. Organizations will be well-served to proactively manage their hybrid workplaces instead of clinging to past approaches. Managing any individual workplace type is a significant undertaking, but the nature of a hybrid workplace presents a new set of unique challenges.
Solution
The solution I have come up is to design an app which shows which employee is at work, who is not working and who all are working together or working from remote places. With focus on engagement and hybrid employee experience, this wont be only about whats happening between the four walls at work place, its also about flocks in the remote places to enable meet-ups inside and outside the work place.
Empathize : The clients requirements and from the users point of view of the app, I did a user research, other competitor apps research from which the brief was understood .

Here are the results from the research I did :
I chose At. Café and Adapt Intelligence app for S.W.O.T analysis because one has the highest no of users and other has a few users in India currently so I could analyze what was most liked from one and what was not liked from the other app.

Here is a chart I summarized the pro's and con's of working from office, from home and adapting the hybrid working system
Also I did a SCAMPER analysis on At. Café for understanding and to get better clarity for the app I am building.
SCAMPER : it a tool to substitute, combine, adapt, modify, put to another use, eliminate and reverse any of the features of the competitor app.
For the user research I did Quantitative & Qualitative survey by asking a few questions with my connections to understand what they need from the app and what were their pain points and I have added a few results from it.

Quantitative Research
Response no : 22
Have uploaded a few responses
Qualitative Survey Questions
From the above research survey I conducted I summarized them to a few User Personas
Design Objective

The main problem we are trying to solve here is by introducing this app as a collaboration in the hybrid work model; hence, the primary target market will be the Business Organizations, Start ups and IT companies.
There is a plan to partner with local cafes in selected cities, where the customers can go and work for some time while they sip a cup of coffee. Local cafes will partner with us since they will get access to a large audience not only from the local areas but also those travelling to their location and might require some workspace.
Also have intend to roll out a free version of this app with limited features for the customers to experience the app and see how this app makes easy when it comes to collaborating with one another and on the other hand there will also be a premium version of the product with access to all the features which never limits one to collaborate and beyond.

Ideation : in this process I started to do mindmap, mood board, site maps, user flow and design system to start the project.

About the logo Retrace
Go back over (the same route that one has just taken)

Here I have used letter 'R' from the word 'Retrace' and that
curve over the letter represents similar to locating sign and also
can be looked as in taking a return meaning going back.

Here are the variations of the logo as well
Exclusion Zone

The area around the logo where no images, text, any others elements are
to be used.

Here I have used a line from the letter R to specify the zone.
Typography
Primary typeface: Helvetica Neue
Secondary typeface : Garamond
Colors
Shapes and elements
Low fidelity wireframes
Here are the screen's designed
Here's one flow of the app on how it works
And this is a detailed documentation of the this project done through flipbook
This project is my final presentation of my UI/UX class.
Learnt about over all process from how to choose a project to decide a minimum budget
to pitch to the investors and overall start to end process of research about similar competitors, interview, designing and also learnt how to approach and pitch the idea to a real client or investors about a project.
