Logo and identity for Astrakhan Sea Port

Logo and identity for Astrakhan Sea Port
In 2019 there was a fundamental change for the brand within the group of companies VTS — the purchase of the Astrakhan Sea Port. This pushed the company to visually update its whole brand portfolio in 2021. In this case we talk about the work on the logo and corporate identity of the port.
While working on the logo and sign of the Astrakhan Sea Port, we did not set ourselves the task of preserving continuity as much as possible. The client wanted to create his own visual attributes for the port with careful references to the parent brand.
The sign of the port was a stylized anchor, which is crowned with a simplified image of the crown from the emblem of Astrakhan (Russia).
The two-color oval underlines the port's belonging to the VTS. The support of the parent company is also reflected in the inclusion of its name in the name block, which has become a kind of copyright sign for the font part.
The port's identity is based on a combination of three ovals. Thanks to the combination of navy blue, azure, black and white colors, the corporate identity looks restrained, but interesting and not boring.
As a result, with the help of recognizable elements the logo and corporate identity of the Astrakhan Sea Port denote its self-sufficiency, but at the same time — belonging to the parent brand VTS.
