The design is inspired by the elegant collection of ancient literati, the allusion of “flowing water, curving water, cultivating bamboo in the forest”.
“崇山峻岭，茂林修竹，又有清流激湍，映带左右，引以为流觞曲水，列坐其次” 《兰亭集序》
"Lanting is a place of high peaks, lush forests and tall bamboos. There is also a clear and swift stream, shining around the pavilion, we channelled the stream as a stream of water and sat beside the water." -- Preface to Lanting collection
Through the modern design and materials, traditional elements are recreated to reflect the cultural features of ancient literati .
The exterior design is inspired by the scroll paper, and the ground adopts Japanese-style dry mountain water streamline modeling elements.
The circular element is a metaphor for the “round and harmonious state” of Buddhism.
The concept of flowing water runs through the entire space, embodying “the goodness is like water”.
The bamboo forest is in connection with the outers structure, melting in shapes and elements.
