Portfolio Project One
Project One
Cafe App in Mexico called Boulenc Pan.

The Project Goal
Create a simple app that is easy to navigate, simple but also provides an experience to the user.

My role
Lead UX Designer.

Key Challenges and Constraints
Several cafes in the area so we need to make sure that we provide something different and unique. To tourist and locals alike.
Initial Design Concepts - Paper Wireframes
User Testing Results
The second usability study revealed that the language icons in the beginning were abit confusing. So I tried a flag option which users are much happier with. Early designs allowed for some customization, but after the usability studies, I removed a second product page and combined it into some screen.

High Fidelity Prototype
Lessons Learn't - Conclusion
While designing the Boulenc pan app, I learned that the first ideas for the app are only the beginning of the process. Usability studies and peer feedback influenced each iteration of the app’s designs.
Portfolio Project Two & Three
Project One & Two
Dog food Website adapted for project two into a Support Dog Website, both called Perro.

The Project Goal
Design a dog food website to be user friendly by providing clear navigation and offering a fast checkout experience.

Design a support dog website to be user friendly by providing clear navigation and offering an accessible user interface.

My role
Lead UX Designer.

Key Challenges and Constraints
Available dog food websites have cluttered designs, inefficient systems for browsing through products and confusing checkout processes.

Available support dog websites have cluttered designs, inefficient systems for browsing through information or locations on where to get a support dog.
Initial Design Concepts - Low Fidelity
User Testing Results
The users found the layout abit confusing and didn't have the hierarchy that they wanted.
The text hierarchy wasn’t clear enough. The headings needed to be more prominent.
High Fidelity Prototype
Lessons Learn't - Conclusion
I learned that even a small design change can have a huge impact on the user experience. The most important takeaway for me is to always focus on the real needs of the user when coming up with design ideas and solutions.
