This project is developed starting from the analysis of the book Sociologia del Rischio by David Le Breton. It started with the realization of a booktrailer and continued with the declination of it in different ways and on different supports and platforms.
Booktrailer
The booktrailer we realized - using the softwares Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere - wants to introduce the topic of the book by presenting a precise atmosphere. At the beginning everything is monotonous, the human body it's trapped and imprisoned in its motionless existence, while at the end it succeed in breaking free and fully allow itself to live. The whole research and design process is explained in the book linked below.
Sensi alter(n)ati
Sensi alter(n)ati it's an installation designed to make also blind and deaf people able to feel the booktrailer, which was modified using the stereophony technique. As it's shown in the visualizations below, some cubes are placed in a wide space. They are used both as a surface to project the video and as a delimitation for the dark room in which you can only hear it. The aim is to create a synesthetic experience for every user.
The brochure of the event is designed keeping in ming the recurring cubic shape presented in the installation and it's readable also by blind people.
The event invitation is accessible too. It's printed both white on white and black on black to make the user emphatise with the blindnessess condition and to introduce the main characteristic of the installation which is the accessibility to everyone.
To promote the book we also made an instagram page readapting the format, the typography and the duration of the video to present the booktrailer in a summarized but accurate way.
