“Plein air printing” is another exercise from which we continued experimenting with color perception and xerographic over-printing. For this little project we decided to go without using the black ink (K) and only use the CMY trichromy, exploring the color range and tonal value obtained by mixing those inks.
This project consists on a series of posters created as a homage to plain air painting, in this case by printing images of landscapes; a new try to approach painting through printing.
One of these posters gathers eight landscapes rendered with warm tones; the second poster also shows another eight images in cold tones. The last one of the posters includes 20 smaller landscapes, visually generating a more complete color spectrum using both cold and warm tones.
