Prince Buko and Uncle Eroh is a piece I drew from insomnia and stress in 2020 amidst the quarantine that happened globally. 

Like everyone else who rediscovered their love for Avatar; the Last Airbender, I was sucked into nostalgia and with the success of my Kermit Budiman, I decided another odd mashup of different franchises was needed. 

Bert and Ernie share a similar dynamic with Prince Zuko and General Iroh. 

Zuko is a hot-head, he frowns a lot and his appearance in the first season (where his head is shaved) shows that he has a wide forehead that I can mold for Bert. Not to mention, Ernie is the only person Bert listens to, similar to how Iroh is to Zuko. 

Ernie is free-spirited, he likes something that he holds often (rubber duckies) and so is Uncle Iroh but with tea. Their vibe says it all. 

This piece was later noticed by Zuko's voice actor, Dante Basco and I have to say, that's probably the pinnacle of my art career on Instagram.
