Animations for the project S.I.D.S., working title of a short film by Andrea Gallacci, designed as a mix of live action and animation that explores multiple facets of violence against women through the experience of a married woman, who elaborates the loss of her child to Sudden Infant Death Sindrome through her toxic relationship with her husband.
The first shot I finished was a representation of gaslighting through the metaphor of a serpent hunting and killing a hedgehog that, in turn, kills its attacker with its quills while being swallowed. Drawn assets by Bianca Baldin.
This shot was a visual representation of the expression "drowing in your eyes", with the pupil at the start acting as proxy for the actual pupil of an actor.
