On 1 June 2013 my amazing wife gave birth to our first child. Our road to meeting her was not an easy one. Many have had a far more difficult time but there were many nights when we were unsure if parenthood would be an experience that we have the privilege of enjoying. The night of her birth continued along this theme. After a long labor with no pain relief  due to emergencies on the ward Scarlett's heart rate droped and the call was made to perform an emergency c-section.  Thanksto the Doctors and Nurses at the Prince of Wales in Sydney even in the most extreme of circumstances the safe delevery of our beautiful daughter into our arms was never questioned. Thank you. 

This post documents the birth of our first child, Scarlett Rose India Perry, and her growth and development since. She brings to our life the most joy i could ever of imagined. She is the light.
