World of Tanks ''Back to the Past''
Product: World of Tanks.
Task: in 2020 World of Tanks celebrated its 10th anniversary, and we needed to make something special to bring back players who had left the game over those 10 years.
Idea: in fact, the game had changed a lot in the meantime, and we had to show those players something that could make them feel the warmth and nostalgia of good ol’ Tanks. We made a 10-episode series of videos called “Back to the Past”. It was based on time-traveling through the game’s history in a tank, with lots of nostalgic moments and Easter eggs.
But during the production stage, COVID-19 struck the world, and after the release of the third episode we were forced to cancel all live shootings. You think that was how the project ended? No way! We found an original solution: we reshaped the plot with a twist, and continued the series with animated episodes.

Results: the “Back to the Past” project resulted in 300M+ impressions. It brought back the players’ sweetest memories, and returned 331k of tankers back into the game.
