GRAPHIC DAYS® EYES ON THE NETHERLANDS
—
Graphic Days® is a project dedicated to visual design. From famous icons of history to contemporary innovative professionals, it describes all the aspects of visual communication and how it relates to other disciplines.
Since its first edition, Graphic Days® has hosted a different guest country in an exhibition named Eyes On. The project aims at presenting the excellence of the visual culture of a selected nation through artworks and designs made by some of the most relevant studios and professionals. After Spain (2017), Poland (2018) and Romania (2019), this year the Netherlands became the protagonist of a dedicated exhibition.
Graphic Days® Eyes On the Netherlands took place from 14–30 May 2021 at Toolbox Coworking and was born from a collaboration with the design festival Graphic Matters and supported by Embassy and the Consulates of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Italy, Pictoright and Stimuleringsfonds Creatieve Industrie.
On occasion of Graphic Days® Eyes On the Netherlands a unique collaboration between Graphic Matters and The Palace of Typographic Masonry was presented for the first time ever: the exhibition ‘An Alphabet of Cases'. Richard Niessen, the Curator of the exhibition, designed a traveling chest of drawers that provides an insight to the wonders of graphic design profession.
