Packaging Redesign for Kele Singapore
About the Brand
In 1983, Kele started a humble confectionery serving a selection of traditional festive goodies such as pineapple tarts, mooncakes, and more. They take utmost care in handcrafting pastries with one philosophy in mind: Quality.
Idea
For this project, I wanted to stray away from the traditional style of mooncake packaging. Making use of gradients that conveys the texture of individual mooncakes: Soft & creamy. Since Kele is well-known in developing any flavour imaginable and is always experimenting with different fruits, I made use of vibrant colours and different die cut shapes to represent each flavour.
Thumbnails & Prototype
I wanted to make the packaging look like a lotus flower blooming when the ribbon is undone.
