La Grande Onda is about the entrepreneurial turn of the world's most brutal and powerful criminal organisation, the 'Ndrangheta, told through the life and death of an ordinary man, Gennaro Musella.
The project has received numerous awards nationwide, taking first place in the most important festivals in our country, and is currently in the running at the Toronto Festival and the Australian Animation Film Fest.
It has been acclaimed by critics for its ability to tell the story of a complex territorial peculiarity such as the 'Ndrangheta with a film of great production effort, effective direction and meticulous and emotional art direction.
The short film is included in the database of Apulia's penitentiaries and made available to the prisoners with the scope of raising awareness in prison environments.
