Billingual Book about the Classical Dances of India
Billingual book design project for a course (书籍设计) in Tsinghua University. The book is designed and adjusted to a horizontal B5 layout. The book, from its internal to the external uses a blance between vivid colors as a reflection of the enriched culture of India along with pure white to ensure comfort for the veiwer's eye.
The book consists of dance forms, their history and origin, along with the costumes and makeup characteristics and their storytelling techniques.
I created a character for each Indian classical dance form included in the book, and the heads act similar to location markers on a map depicting the origin of a particular dance form in one of the spreads.
