este livro reconstrói a verdadeira história do incofidente mineiro. por outro lado, desconstrói a história mítica de um herói do brasil. esta foi inventada pelos militares que deram um golpe de estado e fundaram a primeira república do país em 1889 e que, a procura símbolos, transformaram por meio de falsa iconografia, tiradentes em um mártir fisicamente similar a imagem que é atribuída a jesus cristo, um homem com barba e cabelos longos. a capa toma gosto desta confusa representação histórica do personagem, criando uma composição pouco definida e de colorido intenso do rosto de tiradentes, a partir da manipulação do único retrato dado como fiel do personagem.

this book rebuilds the true story of the revolutionist tiradentes. on the other hand, the book deconstructs the mythical story of a brazilian hero. this story was invented by the military that gave a coup d’etat and founded the first republic of the country in 1889. seeking to create a national symbology, they falsely created a physical image of tiradentes pretty similar to that attributed to jesus christ, a man with long beard and hair. the cover takes advantage on this confusing historical representation of the character, creating an less defined and intense color composition of the face of tiradentes, by manipulating the only portrait assumed as true of the character.
