鎧俑 'KAI YONG' is the main character of my upcoming personal project <Mind the Gap>. This is also my first attempt to design a character from scratch to hatch. There is lots of fun during the process, and the modeling part is the most challenge task to me. I've learnt a lot of skills by finishing the project.
鎧 'Kai' stands for body armor, personal armor/armour, or a suit/coat of armour.
俑 'YONG' stands for a statuette, especially one of a human form.
鎧蛹是为我下一个概念创作所设计的角色,也是我第一个完整的3D角色设计项目。
他是一个融合了科幻,机械,硬表面,赛博朋克与日常街头服饰的混合设计。
整个设计过程充满乐趣与挑战。为了实现想法我探索了几种不同的硬表面建模思路,在初步学习了Moi 3D和Zbrush之后我最终选择了创作方式更直接且灵活的Zbrush。
在这次角色设计的创作过程中我实现了许多突破:
比如使用Zbrush进行硬表面建模,包括DynaMesh,Zmodeler,Zremesher,Dynamic Subdiv,以及Decimation Master的使用。
以及第一次完整的使用Marvelous Designer进行写实类CG服装设计,
