BarCodes Talk
DSA provided the architectural services for Bar Codes Talk’s offices and production warehouse totaling 10,000 SF. Everything from code research and conceptual design development to paint selections and Interior Design selections were provided for the client. The final result was 2,000 SF of office, communal, and administrative spaces and around 8,000 SF of warehouse space. The building also includes a fitness center, kitchen, dining, and living room / lounge spaces. From the front of the building visual elements were created using bars of light to invite visitors into the space. The light travels under the building’s overhanging entry and is visible through the store front glass, pulling the viewer into the space. This feature travels throughout the entry and foyer of the building and into the conference room turning from the ceiling down the wall, creating a unique visual impact. The Interiors team described this not only as a visual reference to the Bar Code Talk's brand but also as a method of way-finding and navigation. The ceilings in the common spaces are pushed and pulled to create visual interest in the ceiling, reference the structure of a barcode, and as a way of defining spaces within the open concept layout.
