The up and coming songwriter and artist baard was set off to release launch a series of singles, and I was asked to create a visual identity and branding in collaboration with the creative team at Sony Music Norway. It needed to be a robust yet simple identity that could work together with a variety of images for different releases. 
 
I worked with the toned back backgrounds in combination with with vibrant colors for the graphical elements. A wordmark based on Violaine & Jérémy’s Voyage was established, but with a slight twist of adjusting the ascender of letter b in order to create an arch which then allowed for a natural framing for images. This arch is sometimes also repeated in the top where the logo is mirrored in ordered create a rounded rectangle. The same usage can be seen in merch mockups where for instance a rounded neck of a t-shirt is giving the layout its arch.
 
The logo is paired with Aktiv Grotesk Extended from Dalton Maag. It often sits on each side of two circles that symbolizes the thoughts that goes into what we do, and the idea of that there always is two sides to something.
