Rush: The Body Electric

Legendary rock band Rush are back and on tour again. Having worked previously on the “Snakes and Arrows” tour, we were asked to come up with animations for the 1984 classic “The Body Electric”. Loosely inspired by the song’s music video and with the theme “escaping the bomb” in mind, we follow an abstract character made of stylized particles that break up and flow together shot to shot. The challenge was to showcase the movement of the character running while only show brief hints of the full body keeping it very abstract right up to the ending. Now... picture it on a 40x17 foot screen before a rocking crowd.
