Design Exercise: Portland Freedom Trail Revamp

Design Exercise– Portland Freedom Trail Revamp
This design exercise was a chance to work with the already existing Portland Freedom Trail and make it something that was more easily accessible to tourist coming into the city and locals that have seen it but probably never thought twice about it.
To start this project off I decided to see what I was working with and walk the trail. It was in doing this that I found the angle in which I wanted to work. The original layout of the stops was quite hard to follow and often had you back tracking quite far. As a visitor to the city your time can often be limited so making this trail easier to follow and more efficient was the first task.
After this came the overhaul of the print out which started out like this on the above left and became this on the above right. This version is more condensed and much easier to fit into ones pocket.
