Process of re-creating logo for Staburadze - factory that specializes in making best cookies and cakes in Latvia. Company with roots in the First Republic of Latvia of 1918. For reasons i do not know the logo was never been finished and implemented, instead nowdays the company is using "something" like this: http://www.staburadze.lv
Here I want to share with you not so much logo itself, but very process of making it. I had a honor to work under creative management of Latvian-born man from Canada, Erlands Gustavs. He guided all creative work very professionaly and clearly. His guidance, his view from side, helped me to keep focused on main idea and get results best possible in the circumstances we had. The main idea was to be inspired from original Kuze logotype from 1910 for word Staburadze graphic style and use symbol of cake that appeared later in Soviet times. Overall i did more than 100 different sketches of cake symbol - my personal record i suppose :)
PS Just want to remind you that logo was not finished and last page just depicts stage where main graphic elements - mostly Symbol of cake - was getting ready. (1997)
