As part of a personal project I wanted to test out engraving a picture in some cedar wood I had lying around. 
After I put together a panel I got to work on the lasercutting machine. 

 

Because I engraved the wood instead of cutting right through it, the softer parts of the wood are engraved deeper than the harder parts.

This makes for an interesting and unique result thanks to the different pieces of wood I used.
